New Possibilities for the Production Planning

The Experience of Mr. Geslin - Owner of Less Oeufs Geslin

New possibilities for production planning

With a need for higher production capacity to accommodate the increasing demand, Les OEufs Geslin decided to invest in a new breaking and separation line. With no immediate preference for a equipment supplier, all possibilities had to be tested to find the most suitable production line. The following basic criteria were decisive for choosing the equipment:

  • Increase the breaking capacity
  • Excellent quality of separation
  • Better separation rate
"Most suppliers in the market could help us to obtain the required capacity, but as far as quality of separation and increasing the separation rate were concerned, the SANOVO OptiLine stood out as far more convincing. The new SANOVO OptiLine was delivered and installed according to schedule, and, after a thorough introduction for our staff, the plant was up and running without affecting our production plan – initially."

After seven months of running production on the SANOVO OptiLine, it is conclusive that 'the three criteria have been fully achieved,' says Denis Geslin. 'As a matter of fact, the separation rate was improved to the degree that now we need fewer eggs to achieve an equivalent quantity of egg white and yolk, compared to the old machine.
At the same time, the amount of whole egg produced is very low and bears no comparison to the old equipment. With the significant improvement of the separation rate, we were forced to adjust our production organisation in terms of both methods and planning.

The daily production is running very smoothly and with the CIP installed, the washing time has been reduced considerably. At the same time, surface bacteriological checks on cups prove that the cleaning is efficient.

Naturally, the price of the equipment was also a determining factor in the decision-making process. SANOVO OptiLine was not the choice of lowest cost, but considering the increased capacity and improved separation rates, combined with fewer operators needed, we are extremely satisfied with the investment.

We had a significant improvement that forced us to adjust our production organisation in terms of both methods and planning.'

With the investment in the SANOVO OptiLine, Les OEufs Geslin achieved the expected results and, at the same time, can serve the customers more efficiently and flexibly in terms of meeting their specific needs.
